We analyze client needs, current programs, employee profile, and client capabilities to administer traditional or flexible benefit plans.
Discuss the many types and areas of employee benefits available.
Ascertain Client’s position regarding eligibility of benefits.
Conduct employee benefit survey when requested.
Review all aspects of client current plan: contractual provisions — underwriting — flexibility — taxability — administration — communication.
Discuss alternative funding vehicles as well as other cost containment programs.
Make specific recommendations to client regarding the current benefit program.
Advise on new developments in the field of employee benefits and discuss the possible incorporation of these developments in all benefit programs.
Assist client in effectively allocating their benefit dollars.

Compile all necessary employee data
Complete a summary of the existing plan including present rates and claims experience for the last three years
Prepare detailed specifications for the benefit plan to secure competitive tenders from carriers selected for their ability to serve client needs
Provide all necessary data to insurance companies and/or claims administrators
Analyze all quotations to ascertain the specifications have been complied with and interpret the subtleties of various options
Meet with and negotiate with insurer(s) and/or specialty claims administrators
Prepare a detailed benefits comparison as required
Prepare a detailed cost oriented “spreadsheet”
Prepare a final detailed report
Make specific and alternative recommendations

Following our recommendation of a comprehensive employee benefits program, we perform the following activities:

Prepare and direct enrollment procedure
Communicate any benefit changes to client
Install the new plan with the client, demonstrating new administrative procedures
Conduct Employee Benefit Communication Session(s) (if requested)
Distribute employee booklets, and other new employee material
Educate client employees so that they may understand and share responsibility for this portion of their compensation dollar (if requested)

Apprise client of ever-changing provincial and federal legislation and its potential impact upon benefit program, and changing benefit market trends
Arrange and communicate amendments
Support client staff with the ongoing administration of the program
Handle employee inquiries, expedite claims processing
Monitor reserves to ensure they are in-line with the claims experience
Monitor insurer retention expenses
Review, discuss and negotiate renewals with insurer(s) and/or specialty claims administrators
Prepare detailed Renewal Report
Ensure the plan is competitive and consistency meets with the client’s needs
Benchmarking Analysis of peer companies

Provide an in-depth cost analysis of each benefit examining the proposed rate structures, funding arrangements, expense levels and incurred, but not reported reserve levels, where applicable, to determine their competitiveness in relation to those available from the marketplace.
Assist the Client in the negotiation of the best possible renewal rate and related plan expenses for all benefits
Review funding arrangements, and where advisable, recommend alternate underwriting methods which would be financially beneficial to the Client.
Prepare and present a second, financial reconciliation report (if applicable)
Meet with the Client’s disability provider and assist with the disability management process
